Pennsauken, NJ, July 22, 2008 - Uzo Ahiarakwe, a resident of Sicklerville and Municipal Engineer for the City of Camden, was elected as Treasurer for the Camden County American Red Cross at its June, 2008 Board of Directors meeting. Ahiarakwe, who serves on the Red Cross Building Committee, also was reelected to a second three-year term on the Chapter's Board of Directors.
Newly elected Red Cross Board Members include Michael Cesaro, CPA, partner in the accounting firm of Bowman and Company, Voorhees.
Louis Moffa, Esq., Partner in the law firm of Montgomery McCracken, Cherry Hill
Yarissa Reyes, Communications Manager, Association Headquarters, Mt. Laurel.
Mr. Cesaro and Mr. Moffa will join the Chapter's Budget and Finance Committee, while Ms. Reyes will join the Development Committee, concentrating on Marketing and Public Relations.
Also re-elected to a second term on the Board of Directors were Frank Costantino, retired banker of Mt. Laurel, who serves on the Chapter's Budget and Finance Committee and Lynn Goldman Paul of Cherry Hill who is the Chair of the Chapter's Development Committee. Ms. Paul is also a Red Cross Disaster Services volunteer, honored for her outstanding work in Mississippi during Hurricane Katrina.
The Camden County American Red Cross was founded in the city of Camden in 1917. The chapter recently renovated a building in Pennsauken that has become its new headquarters. The first floor of the building is being retrofitted to house a state of the art Blood Donor Center.
The Camden County American Red Cross provides the residents of Camden County with 24 hour a day, 7 days a week disaster relief services and services to members of the Armed Forces and their families; a full menu of health and safety training including First Aid, CPR, AED, Water Safety, babysitting, Pet First Aid and Fire Prevention programs such as the Children's Fire Safety House.
Besides Mr. Ahiarakwe, the Chapter's officers include Dr. Thomas Tudor of Cherry Hill, Chapter Chairman; the Honorable Patricia Jones of Barrington, Vice-Chair, Tracy Siebold, Esq. of Haddonfield, Vice Chair and Robert Ellis, Medford, Chapter Secretary. The Chapter's Executive Director is Julianne "Camy" Trinidad of Cherry Hill.
